Woolwich: Greenwich Carers Offer Advice To Carers And Dependents

This week is National Carers Week and yesterday, the Greenwich Carers Van was at the General Gordorn Squre advising the public on what they do.

* If you care for someone, you maybe entitled to help.

If you look after someone, relatives or others, who relies on your help or maybe provide unpaid care or support to a family member, partner or neighbour who i frail or disabled or has a long-ter illness, mental health or alcohol problem, the Greenwich Carers say you may be entitled to help.
 
The Greenwich Carers offer suppot services and carers assessmens for adult carers, support services for Yound Carers and their families, respite scheme as well as volunteering opportunities.
 
They also offer P2P marketplace, an online booking service for people's social care needs where services such as personal care, respite breaks, domestic support, gardening, household repairs, escorts and companions, transport and drivers, wellness therapies and specialist maintenance services.
 
If you are a carer, desire an assessment, wish to volunteer as a carer, further information can be obtained by visiting the Greenwich Carers Stand at the General Gordon Square, this week or by calling Phone: 0208 921 2304 or the Advice Line 0300 555 1515 between 2pm and 6pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays and from 8.30 to 2pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays and 10am to 12noon on Saturday.
