Woolwich: New McDonald's Restaurant for Dockyard Area

McDonald's Group is set to open a new restaurant in the Woolwich Dockyard area within the next one month, according to reliable information made available to Woolwich Online.

on November, 26, 2014.

Like the restaurant in Powis Street, the new 24hr Drive through will be equipped with hi-tech ordering platforms, as well as table-mounted tablets on which customers can access social networks and or play games.

The Woolwich Dockyard restaurant, expected to open on November 26, 2014,  is the third in the Woolwich area - after Powis Street and Woolwich 2 near Plumstead station.

It brings the number of McDonald's restaurants in the UK (currently 1,249) to 1,250.

McDonald's first restaurant in the UK was opened in Woolwich in 1974, occupying their global position at that time of 3000.

With Headquarters based in Seattle, USA, McDonald's Group currently has about 35,000 restaurants globally and can be found in 118 countries and territories.
