Kano road traffic agency arrests Donkey for causing traffic in the state
This brazen case that proves the popular saying `no one is above the law' may seem hilarious, but demonstrable.
In some parts of the West African nation of Nigeria, densely populated cities, like Kano, suffer enough delays arising from human and vehicular traffic.
The arrival of `Ocada' riders (private motorcyclists) who ferry passengers from one location to another, often at high risks, was one of the attempts to beat peak-hour traffic.
So indeed, the state traffic agency appear to be doing a great job of dealing with traffic congestion. The photo shows the decisive moment when the Kano State Traffic Agency arrested a Donkey that stood on the part of traffic, causing obstruction. Traffic officers were trying to get the donkey that was causing traffic off the road.
"Seems they are having a busy day because this may not be the first one they are getting off the road, looks like there is a donkey in the truck already," the paper said.
