Power Of Love On Show As Powerball Winner Spends Millions To Keep Boyfriend Out Of Prison - Twice

A North Carolina woman who scooped $188 million (£121 million) on the power ball-lottery in February has bailed her boyfriend twice in 6-months, spending $9 million (£5.8 million) of her win in the process.

According to Madamme Noire, Marie Holmes, who is a 26 year old single mom of four, raised a $3 million (£1.9 million) bond for her boyfriend, Lamarr McDow to be free after he was thrown in jail facing heroin trafficking charges.

McDow was reportedly implicated after an investigation unearthed more than 98,000 bags of heroin. Marie Holmes says she knows her boyfriend is not a drug dealer and she wanted him out of jail.

McDow however, violated the bail conditions of his parole by missing the curfew, and the cops soon came calling at her home, rearresting him and bringing him back to jail.

According to the reports, the cops found he had a .45 caliber pistol and there was less than a half an ounce of the drug and paraphernalia in Holmes’ Brunswick County home.

Two other people in the house were also charged with simple possession. Three children were present at the time of the arrest, McDow said they were his children.

She then spent an additional $6 million (£3.9 million) to get McDow out of prison. He was released with a GPS monitoring device.

As with everything these days, the story broke on Facebook and tongues started wagging. But the lottery winner simple refused to be swayed by social media commentators, telling them to mind their business and talk about Jesus instead of talking about her.

The couple are reportedly engaged.

Of the $188 million (£121 million), Marie Holmes was paid $127 million (£82 million), receiving $88 million (£56.5million) after taxes.
