Oyster Card Readers Now Installed At Dartford Train Station

Train Travellers to and from Dartford, Kent, can now use their Oyster Cards at the station to enter or leave Town, as Transport for London have installed Oyster Card Readers.

Dartford is classified as Zone 6, but until now, South Eastern, operators of the route, had insisted that anyone traveling on their trains to and from the town purchase appropriate paper Travel Cards to cover their journey.

It means that commuters from any part of the City of London can touch in from their point of departure and easily touch out on arrival at the Dartford Station.

The introduction is also expected to help liven up the Town and pull in more visitors. Besides, other visitors like church goers can attend services, traveling through Dartford Station as they normally would at any other Station in London where Oyster readers are installed.

Members of the Winners International Church, usually driven to church by their church bus, can also still attend service if they miss the routine pick up times - and still arrive their church in Dartford on time to fellowship with their family, friends and colleagues who may have boarded the bus.

Among the attractions in Dartford are their popular The Orchard Complex which is a hub of Entertainment and a Shopping Mall.  The town is in TfL's Zone 6.
