Since its launch last month, over two thousand seven hundred residents have signed up to the new Greenwich One Card allowing them to grab bargains at businesses within Greenwich as well as enjoying access to libraries and leisure facilities across the borough.

For people who don’t know what the One Card allows holders to do, it acts as your passport to discounts in the borough. The card also acts as a leisure centre as well as a library card. It’s also available to people who work or study in the Royal Borough.

The free card gives residents access to a wide range of discounts and money off products and services at almost 100 participating local businesses, including The O2, ExCeL, Greenwich Theatre and local shops and restaurants.

The Royal Borough of Greenwich is believed to be the first borough in the UK to have one card that acts as an all-in-one leisure, library and discount shopping card.

Businesses ranging from restaurants and clothes shops, local attractions and dry cleaners have already signed up to offer discounts to Greenwich One Card holders. Woolwich, Eltham, Plumstead and Charlton are just some of the areas where discounts are available to One Card holders. All businesses who offer discounts are listed on the Royal Borough’s website:

Councillor Denise Scott-McDonald Cabinet Member for Culture, Creative Industries & Community Wellbeing, said: “As a borough, we are proud to be the first in the UK to offer a card with an all in one system. This card is free and doesn’t need renewing like the Greenwich Card did. Having over two thousand holders since its launch last month shows how keen local residents are to take advantage of these excellent offers.”

If you are a resident, worker or student of the Royal Borough then you can get yours today. The card lasts a lifetime for residents and workers of the Royal Borough and can be picked up from any council library or leisure centre - simply bring along proof of your address, or where you work and study and a member of staff will ensure that your application is processed.

You can also apply online. Go to:
