The Greenwich Cutty Sark - A Georgian Free House That's With Spectacular Riverside Views

by Nancy Weirh | Greenwich

The name Cutty Sark strike a chord very quickly - especially if you are a resident of Royal Greenwich or are visiting the Borough. But the iconic ship listed by National Historic Ships as part of the National Historic Fleet (the nautical equivalent of a Grade 1 Listed Building), is not the only Cutty Sark.

Above on the bank of the Thames just close to the Old Cold Fired Power Station situates another Cutty Sark. Immovable but gorgeous, it is located at 4-, 6 Ballast Quay, Greenwich SE10 9PD.

Internally, the Sark was light-filled, with elegant dining room overlooking the Thames. The Freehouse is spread over 3 Georgian floors with riverside views.

And it is even bookable, with reasonable prices that range from £10 for the Main Course to £25 for Food Spend.

It is open Monday to Saturday from 11am to 23hrs and on Sunday from 12 noon to 22.30 pm.

And what more, with big portions served, please do bring a good appetite.
