As Orlando Buried Their Dead In, President Obama Calls For More Gun Control

Almost 100 families have so far received aid from a specially set up centre, including counseling and money for medical care and funerals

In Miami, there were at least five funerals for five of the 49 people killed in last weekend’s massacre at the Pulse Night Club - a gay nightclub known as the favourite of their perpetrator, Omar Mateen.

Among those buried on Friday was Anthony Luis Laureano Disla, 25, of Peurto Rico origin who is a dancer. Peurto Rican were said to be the community hardest hit in the massacre.

According to the Times of Israel, Disla is obituary at the Newcomer funeral home read “He was a very talented dancer who was loved and will be missed by all.” More burials for other victims were expected over the weekend.

Omar Mateen went to his favourite hide out - the Pulse Night Club in down town Orlando last weekend with an assault rifle and pistol and spread bullets on club goers, despite hours of negotiation with Police intended to stop him killing people.

He was killed when he rushed out from one of the holes made through the wall after authorities smashed in to allow hostages escape.


His wife was later revealed as having been privy to the plan but failed to report it.

In a speech, the US President barack Obama once again, called for tougher gun control and said easy access to weapons is "unconscionable".

According to a report on Times of Isreal. He said relatives of the victims “don’t care about the politics. And neither do I.”
