COVID-19 Figures For Lagos Double One Day After End Of Lock-down

Total COVID-19 figures for Nigeria as at Monday, 4th of May, 2020 now stands at 2,802.

New Covid19 cases released by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) show that new cases for Lagos doubled, just one day after the state ended a month-long lock-down.

Total new cases was put at 245 out of which Lagos recorded 76. The day before, the figure was 39 for Lagos.

Katsina came behind Lagos with 37 cases while Jigawa had 32.

However, Kano which followed Lagos with 29 the day before dropped to the fourth position with 23 new cases.

Ekiti, Osun, Benue, Niger and Zamfara shared the bottom of the list with 1 new case each.

17 new patients were discharged, bring the total to 417 while 6 more patients died, marginally pushing up the total of the dead to 93, NCDC said.
