COVID-19 - NCDC Reports 298 New Cases, Taking Total Past 49,000

Nigeria's Disease Control Office, NCDC, last night reported another 298 confirmed new cases of the coronavirus. The new report take the overall total of confirmed cases in Nigeria to 49,068.

The report came on the second Sunday after churches began normal in the country.

Of the new reports, Plateau State shot to the top position with 108 new cases, followed by Kaduna with 49 cases and Lagos with 47 to occupy the third position.  Bauchi, Kano and Rivers had one new case each to occupy the bottom of the list.

NCDC said a total of 36,497 have been discharged so far while 975 died.
